McKinney Heating & Air Conditioning was officially founded in 1979 by Tommy McKinney in his garage. Tommy was already an experienced business man, having worked in his father’s business starting at the age of 17.  He had already been working in the heating and cooling industry since 1973, so his new business quickly expanded into a 2400 square foot building on his property.  After years of serving the needs of the residents of Martinsville-Henry County from his home base, McKinney moved to a new building, and current location, in January of 2006.  McKinney Heating & Air Conditioning, still family owned and operated more than 30 years later, has 9 employees, a sheet metal shop for custom duct work, a parts warehouse, and a fleet of vehicles.  McKinney is authorized to carry three major brands in heating and cooling, including Trane, Lennox, and Westinghouse, and has Class A Contractor, HVAC, and electrical licensing, providing the complete package in services for their customers.  McKinney Heating & Air Conditioning values its local roots, and many loyal clients, and firmly believes that its investment in and commitment to the local community has helped the company to grow and be successful.
